It was 2013 when I first wrote about
. I couldn't have been more in love with the stylish design of the restaurant in Fez and the interior decorating. I had moved to Morocco and little did I know.
It was October 8, 2016 and I was at
listening to Morocco's lady chef
. Listening and feeling her enthusiasm about her childhood, spending summers with her family in the Atlas mountains. Experiencing living between two cultures and making the best ever out of it. Still, I had no idea...
Until, at the end of her TED talk, she reveals...That she was re-opening my favourite restaurant in Fez. Giving it a new chance, a new elan and a lot of new energy. By that, she was also giving me a chance to finally go and visit it.
is much more than a restaurant. It's a concept. A concept with the best in mind. Not only on the level of cooking. Have a look at stylish riad nº9 that is connected to Nur and that offers one all the luxuries to make the best of your visit to the city with the world eldest university.
but there is more.
In the summer of 2015 Najat launched “Six Ingredients”, a humanitarian organisation dedicated to connecting thought and opinion leaders around the idea that every challenge can be overcome by relying on six ingredients, the five senses plus mindfulness.

Het was 2013 toen ik voor het eerst schreef over
in de Medina van Fez. Ik was helemaal verliefd op het het stijlvolle ontwerp van het restaurant en het fraaie interieur. Ik was kort voordien naar Marokko verhuisd en wist ik veel hoe onze wegen zouden kruisen. Het mooie wit-zwarte huis en ik.
Het was 8 oktober 2016 en ik was op
vol bewondering aan het luisteren naar Marokko's lady chef
. Al sprekend bracht ze haar enthousiasme over op de zaal. Enthousiasme over haar jeugd, de zomers die ze doorbrach bij haar grote familie in het Atlas-gebergte terwijl ze opgroeide in Europa. Hoe het wasom het leven tussen twee culturen te ervaren en er het allerbeste ooit van te maken. Maar nog steed had ik geen idee van dat huis in Fez...
Tot op het einde van haar TED talk, ze een primeur heeft ... Het huis in de Medinawordt haar 'kindje'. Een nieuwe kans, een nieuw elan en een heleboel nieuwe energie. En daarmee voor mij eindelijk de kans om het te bezoeken.
Nur is veel meer dan een restaurant. Het is een concept. Een concept met de beste in het achterhoofd. Niet alleen op het niveau van koken. Neem een ijkje op stijlvolle riad nº9 die is verbonden met Nur en dat alle luxe en comfort biedt om het beste te maken van uw bezoek aan de stad met 's werelds oudste universiteit.
maar er is meer.
In de zomer van 2015 lanceerde Najat "Six Ingredients", een humanitaire organisatie die zich inzet om opinieleiders samen te brengen rond het idee dat elke uitdaging kan worden overwonnen door te vertrouwen op zes ingrediënten, de vijf zintuigen plus mindfulness.
