Today we take it one step further. Having a well structured PLAN to stick to.
REMEMBER:
It’s only by starting well prepared, not overloading your day, that you will feel accomplished returning home in the evening. When you’re looking to fill a container, you might be able to do 2 max 3 merchants a day. Including more, you will miss out on the most important thing, building a network. After going through so many items at different merchants on one day, with the heat not really being supportive, you don’t think clear anymore.
HAVING A PLAN:
Ask any successful entrepreneur, it starts and ends with a plan!
Make a clear list of the items you want to source.
Split your day into 2 parts with a long relaxing break in between. (10 to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm)
stick to ONE item f.i. pottery, rugs. lamps…in one daybreak.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT enter the medina without a CLEAR plan of places to go. This list you prepare in the days ahead! You stroll around with all of your senses, look at items, small talk about prices and THEN you define which merchants you ‘like’ most for whatever reason.
put 2 addresses in the first part of your day and 2 in the second, but be prepared to drop one or two depending on how things are going.
