I never thought it would get this far, but in spite of all my previous posts about boring beige, I’ve recently quite come to like it.
It might have something to do with the fact that I like natural tones and here in Morocco, a lot of materials come in beige. All kind of beige and this is where it gets interesting! A mix of warm shades in natural tones, from milk white to coffee with milk, create a warm and hygge interior.
This week I’m showing you the pieces we source on our workshops and retreats. I’m also adding some inspiring photos from Instagram to show you what you can achieve with your treasures from the souks.
Remember, it’s all handmade and this to me is one of the purest forms of luxury.

Marlène Pauly is a personal sourcer and shopper for private and wholesale interior objects in Marrakech. Here, in the red city, she founded COCO-Morocco, a Sourcing Agency on Moroccan Handmade. Her 10+ years sourcing the souks as an architect and interior designer, decorating her restauration projects on farm houses in Europe gave her a solid knowledge of quality and price. She fell in love with the country, and became passionate about the culture of negotiating and when to define a transaction as a 'good deal'. You can hire her for private sourcing projects and tours. She also organises twice yearly Marrakech Design Week. A week for wholesalers and people in the retail business. Besides that, she adores visiting riads, having undercover experiences and reporting back on her blog.
